Jasper Quote

From the boys' school newsletter:
"Jasper said the word “crunchy”. Ms. Supplee said, “Jasper, I like all of the new words coming out of your mouth.” Jasper looked at Ms. Supplee for a couple of seconds then opened his mouth up as wide as he could."

Sesame Street Live

We went to Sesame Street Live at The Fox Theatre last night. The boys were pretty excited and really enjoyed the show. If Elmo wasn't in one of the scenes, Jasper would ask "Melmo?" and then point him out when he reappeared.

Coney Dog

Emma is back to wearing her cone. She got her teeth cleaned yesterday and we also had Dr. Kristy remove that bump on her back, as well as 3 smaller (pea-sized) ones. None of them were anything bad, they aren't even sending anything to the lab for testing. I don't know why each incision is at least 1.5 inches and they are stapled closed (32 staples)! She is a Frankendog. How will they get those out? A staple remover? She was dopey when she came home yesterday but is acting pretty normal now. Stitches come out on the 21st.

Sharing

Yes, they actually shared the chair to watch a Backyardigans episode.

Quotes from Liam

1. Liam asked what kind of bird the "flat eggs" (meaning fried eggs) come from. I wonder if he was picturing some kind of flat animal like a sting ray?

2. "Mommy I know how peas stay cool." "They go in a green bean."

New Year

We got about 8 inches of snow this morning!

Christmas

We had a fun Christmas with the boys excited about Santa (and trying to be nice, not naughty).

We had a party at Grammy and Bop-Bop's with Amy, Andrew (surprised us by taking the train home) and the Dow and Love aunts, uncles and cousins on the 23rd.

Christmas Eve after church.

On Christmas Day we drove to Grammy Robin and Grandpa's in London and saw the Dawkins relatives.

On Boxing Day we drove to "Great" Anne and "Tractor" Larry's in Port Perry (northeast of Toronto) to visit the Wright relatives. The boys thought "the game with all the balls" (Liam) or just "BALLS!" (Jasper) was lots of fun.

And of course, riding in Larry's tractor to plow the snow.
